For more than a decade, Lisa Smith has worked hard to build a brand that is synonymous with Key Realty. Smith started a career in real estate in 2008, and says it was a whirlwind from the get-go.
“It opened my eyes to a much different market than what exists today,” says Smith. “I believe the experience helped me learn many aspects of the business that most new agents have not encountered, especially dealing with short sales and foreclosures, listings that would get extensions after 365 DOM (wow).”
As a lifetime member of the President Sales Club, Smith spent a number of years learning the industry, but always strived to want to know more. In 2016, Smith was elected to be a part of the Association Board of Directors, and in 2020, became President of Northwest Ohio Realtors. In that leadership role, Smith’s understanding of the industry, and all of its inner workings expanded immensely. Smith was able to learn about what Realtors are lacking both locally and nationally. She was also able to recognize how local legislative issues can impact home ownership, and the importance of supporting the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC). Currently Lisa is part of several committees, as well as, a director for the Ohio Realtors board.
Prior to real estate, Smith was a manager of marketing and promotions at a local TV news station. It was there that she met her husband, and they share three beautiful children. The real estate business has not only been lucrative, but it has also allowed her to spend more time with family.
As Smith looks to share her knowledge in a new role, she sees great growth potential in a new program.
“All of these experiences have helped shape my career that I enjoy today,” says Smith. “I look forward to the opportunity to help others fine-tune their skills that will lead to a successful journey in the real estate business.”
